practice

Dodd Architecture is a design practice focusing on architecture, urban design and master planning.

Recently re-established by Richard Dodd, Dodd Architecture is located in the pristine rural oasis of the Matakana Coast north of Auckland, Aotearoa New Zealand.

Our practice seeks to create thoughtful buildings and spaces that support and enrich the environments in which they are constructed and the lives of the individuals and communities they serve.

Dodd Architecture is open-minded and curious, finding inspiration in both the everyday and the obscure. Looking to the past as much as to the future, we believe that an engagement with both is essential to make buildings that contribute positively and meaningfully to our built and natural environments.

Our projects are informed by a sensitivity to context, deep understanding of client requirements, and the realities of economic and environmental sustainability. A considered understanding of these relationships informs the quality of the work.
